We have been making fishing videos for the last three decades, but until the last few years haven't been able to put full quality onto the internet. With these advances in web storage and streaming, we have been hard at work again releasing some fine videos for you to enjoy. Check out our short 5 minute (or less) videos below in the section "Shorties", segments from our DVD "Western Canadian Journey", or any of our older content. Some content dates back to the days when YouTube would only let you upload shorter, poor quality videos. They are still informative however! If you wish to watch our Web TV Series, just click on the link above. Enjoy!
Not many people think of Phoenix, Arizona as a fly fishing destination. People flock there in the winter to soak in the sun, but there are many different opportunities available to the angler. Tim takes us on a tour of a few of the Phoenix area Community Fishing lakes and ponds. This is a separate fishing license from the Arizona State Fishing license. Licenses are the same price whether you are a resident or non-resident, and booklets come with your license purchase that have maps and locations of the 40+ lakes and ponds. Hopefully this video inspires some of you to take in some fishing next time you are in the area!
Fly fishing in the mountains is usually for trout or char, but northern pike were the targets for the day on this trip for the WesternSportfishing.ca crew. The weather cooperated just enough to get some fun pike action in on top water mice, and sub-surface flies. Can't beat the mountain views, even on a cold rainy day!
Nick and Tim of WesternSportfishing.ca take you to Spring Lake near Edmonton, AB, Canada to fly fish for rainbow trout. It was a slower day, but they manage to land some on backswimmer and booby flies. In the last half of the short video are highlights from a spring trip on Patterson Lake in the Manitoba Parklands for fat brown trout!
The guys (Andy, Trevor, and Nick) from WesternSportfishing.ca go on a camping and stream fly fishing trip for Andy's stag. A short video that captures one of the days on a beautiful creek in Alberta. Catching rainbow trout and brook trout on dry flies and nymphs made for an enjoyable day.

Join WesternSportfishing.ca as they fly fish Stauffer Creek and the Bow River in Alberta during the winter months. The fish being caught are brown trout, rainbow trout and rocky mountain whitefish. This is the first installment of a few that we will be showcasing from our 2010 DVD titled "Western Canadian Journey". Popular segment from previous DVD's "Hot Tip" is included as well!
Nick and Andy of WesternSportfishing.ca fish a brown trout creek in Alberta on a beautiful June day. "Hot Tip" segment features the use of a 2 fly rig (also known as a "hopper-dropper" rig). This is the second installment of a few that we will be showcasing from our 2010 DVD titled "Western Canadian Journey" produced in collaboration with Doctor Shoal Productions.
